The Sign Spotlight - Issue 1 - AVEDA

Welcome to the first issue of: The Sign Spotlight.

Here we turn the spotlight on one particular project or client. Many of our sign projects entail more than just one sign. Some can evolve into multiple signs using various materials and sign making methods. Some develop into ongoing projects while others can expand to include displays, lit signs, interior decor elements, interactive projects and more.

At Aveda in Victoria, BC, you will see the dimensional lettering we created to reproduce their logo, complete with stand-offs.

Aveda Institute Victoria is the first international Aveda Institute and the only Aveda Institute in Canada
who provides both the Cosmetology program (Hair Stylist) and the Esthiology program (Spa).

The Aveda project involved a number of wall signs and wall graphics including their Statement of Purpose, printed vintage photographs mounted to walls behind their counter and other training areas.

Inspirational messages and quotes have become popular to the point of displaying them on walls in homes and businesses. The quality of printable materials has improved and now signage can be displayed almost anywhere including the floor.

Sometimes signs can turn into displays such as these product and point of purchase displays. Printed graphics combined with dimensional lettering help to create a bigger impact.

Finally, window signage is an important feature at Aveda and it needed to be displayed effectively as well as be easily changed.

These double sided poster signs were displayed through the use of cable hangers and quick change snap shut display bars at the top and bottom of each poster.
